Mama Gaia

by Lindie-Lila

A healing song, a re-connection song, a mother singing to a child, a call for all children on Earth to hear her call. It can be meditated upon and used as an initiation song to hear her call.

Lyrics:

Spirit of Africa, home of my soul
Ancient mother, Goddess of all
Deep within her sacred soil
I hear the ancestors call, I hear her call.

Honored I feel to breathe her breath,
to bathe in her divine
Lying naked in her womb
She sings a lullaby.

When the night comes alive and I
I hear her cry.
And once again she sings that lullaby
And I hear her cry.

Mama, Mama Gaia, mother Divine
Mama Gaia, mother Divine.

Please forgive me that’s all I ask,
Oh what have we done?
Remind me of her holiness,
Oh the time has come.

When the night comes alive and I
I hear her cry
And once again she sings that lullaby
And I hear her cry.

Mama, Mama Gaia, Mother Divine, Mama Gaia, Mother Divine

Daughters of Gaia, daughters of mine, will you hear me call?
Mama Gaia, Mother Divine, yes we hear your call!

Children of Africa, children of mine,
Will you hear me call?
Mama Gaia, Mother Divine
Yes we hear your call!

Earth children, babies of mine,
Can you hear me call?
Mama Gaia, mother Divine
Yes we hear your call!
